My name is Sandi Mettler and I am originally from Pennsylvania. I am the 9th oldest of 22 children to a Polish Mom and Jewish Father. My grandparents made the rule that all girls born would be Catholic and all boys born would be Jewish, so I am Catholic. When I graduated college, I became an Emergency Service Director for American Red Cross, and ran disaster jobs. After 911, I resigned and then helped Holy Family Church in Auburn open its first homeless shelter in the County. After we retired, my husband and I wanted to do some traveling, but Charlie suddenly passed away, so here I am back working for the Church in Accounting. I will say, this is the calmest job I’ve ever held, but I enjoy the people and the work. Never give up on your dreams, follow your heart, and let God lead you where he wants you. Hope to meet you all someday.
