In Baptism, people are incorporated into Christ and become part of God’s people. This first Sacrament makes us a “new creation through water and the Holy Spirit” (Cf. Christian Initiation, Introduction, no. 2). By the signing at Confirmation they are strengthened in the image of the Lord and are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit. Confirmation brings to fullness the life in the Holy Spirit into which God’s sons and daughters were first initiated at Baptism.
For young people, Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation will be accomplished both through our faith formation and also at six additional Sessions. Preparation for Confirmation is a two year process beginning in eighth grade. To accommodate all the topics required by the Diocese, teens in both Confirmation Year One and Confirmation Year Two will be expected to attend faith formation along with several Sunday morning or evening sessions.
If you want your child to receive Confirmation please contact Mary Ann Kozak at [email protected] for Holy Cross Church and Saint Anthony Church or Andra Benson at [email protected] for All Saints Church.
