Thank you very much!
I cannot believe that this coming June 29 will be a year since I came to N.E.T. Catholic to work for the Kingdom of God with all of you. The first thing that I want to say is “¡Muchas gracias! Thank you very much!” I have no words to express all my gratitude to all of you who made me feel welcomed and appreciated. I know that the transition was not easy for anyone, but we have done wonderful things with God’s help.
During this year, we had wonderful opportunities to celebrate our faith together as a great family. Holy Cross’ Day in September with the prayer of the “Thousand Jesuses;” the blessing of pets; All Saint’s Day with the participation of our kids, who represented one saint of the Church; the “Night of the Little Candles;” Christmas celebration; Ash Wednesday; Holy Week; Pentecost; Saint Anthony’s Day; the Eucharists; Baptisms; CMA; and so on have been splendid moments to feel that N.E.T. Catholic is more than an organization of three parishes… we are only one family, who walks together to the house of our Heavenly Father.
In addition, the participation of the community has been very important this year. When I came to N.E.T. Catholic, I introduced you to my slogan: “The parish that we dream is the parish that I help to build.” Under that premise, the pastoral and administrative work of N.E.T. Catholic have been growing, but we need to work more. Therefore, I invite each one of you to continue to work for our three parishes, and of course, for the Kingdom of God. I know that we are living in challenging times, and our talents, time, and treasure are limited, but with God’s help we can do it. Let us remember that I am not the only one in the parish, and even though I have a wonderful staff (Mary Ann, Andra, Annette, Julia, Shawn, Karen, Star, and Kim), I need the help of all you, not only for this coming year that will start soon, but for years to come.
Once again, thank you very much for everything you have done for our three marvelous communities.
God bless you, and may the Blessed Virgin Mary be with you always!
Fr. Jorge Ramirez
We stand before You, Holy Spirit,
as we gather together in Your name.
With You alone to guide us,
make Yourself at home in our hearts;
Teach us the way we must go
and how we are to pursue it.
We are weak and sinful;
do not let us promote disorder.
Do not let ignorance lead us down the wrong path
nor partiality influence our actions.
Let us find in You our unity
so that we may journey together to eternal life
and not stray from the way of truth
and what is right.
All this we ask of You,
who are at work in every place and time,
in the communion of the Father and the Son,
forever and ever.
Amen.
